By: Angelica UyAs of Monday, September 12, there were a total number of 176 drug users who surrendered to the Mapandan Police Station.
PNP Chief Superintendent Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa's nationwide project called "Oplan Tokhang", where policemen knocks on the houses of the alleged drug user or pusher, creates a big help in encouraging the illegal users by asking him/her to surrender in their respective police stations to be monitored for further assessments. According to PO3 Charisse Lalas of Mapandan Police Station, from July 1 to September 12 they have a total number of 176 drug users surrendered in their station. Most of them were bystanders aged 16-22. The 176 users will undergo counselling, drug tests and PNP Mapandan's project IDOL (Illegal Drugs Obstructive to Life) program.
