By: Nicole ArzadonIn life, many things are said just like fairy tales and other fictional stories. But are these stories the same as what happens in reality?
Fairy tales, according to literature, are fiction. In short, they are not real. They’re just products of one’s imaginations. But what if fairy tales become real? Is it better to face the reality? Or stick with the fairy tales? Sometimes, I or even you, wish that life was a fairy tale. A life that can be restarted, a scene can be erased, thus a perfect life. Once upon a time’s, the princes kissing and marrying the princesses, happily ever after’s, happiness being achieved all at once, then the End. The story ends and can start again where and whenever we want to or even begin with another one. But did you know that living in reality is better? It’s an opinion of mine and is based generally. Why? Because in reality, we learn to face problems, challenges, hindrances and predicaments bravely and courageously. We learn to face our own strengths and weaknesses. We learn to love truly, sacrifice heartily, forgive and be forgiven sincerely, thus we experience different hardships and difficulties… that’s what life is all about. But why is it better than fairy tales if we need to face these craps and difficulties? Most of what is written is disadvantages, how come reality is better? Simple, it’s because reality has no rewinds nor fast forwards. It goes on as it is. By that, we learn to face it and overcome our fears and coward attitudes. We learn to give importance to time, to what is happening and most importantly, to life. We learn important lessons and we enjoy every moment that we spend. Life is totally twisted, true. But life is short, so we must make the most out of it and learn how to value it. Never base life on fairy tales and fictional stories, because everything starts on your own, from your knowledge and creative imaginations. Life is life. Realize your mistakes and give efforts in making them right. Live your life to the fullest. Take many pictures as you can, eat like there’s no tomorrow, laugh out loud, hang out with your friends, count the stars at night and love like you’ve never been hurt because life is too short to be wasted. That’s the reality of life. Enjoy every second of it.
