By : Nicole Arzadon With the time you spend in studying, do you get desired result? Would you like to get desired result at half time? Smart studying doesn’t mean more time devoted to books. If you have noticed, the top performers in class not only reap dazzling grades but are immersed in numerous pursuits.
1. Let’s start the motivation. *Why are you burning the midnight oil? Would you answer, “To get high grades”? That should be classified. Grades really don’t measure intelligence. They gauge, rather, what you put in subject, your effort and efficiency and always remember that “grades should not be your main driving force”. 2. It is better to follow some set daily schedule; otherwise you’ll fritter away valuable time on nagging decisions. *The schedule should have much regularly, so your activities become a matter of habit. Respect your schedules, if not, you’ll end up BORED. 3. Never leave out leisure activities if you want to maximize your output. *Everybody needs a time-out, being a student; leisure activities are one of the best things that can help us to maintain a healthy mind and body. 4. Practice the principle of reinforcement. *In other words, learn to reward yourself nit by bit. 5. Memorization sadly is part of student’s cross. *Try to minimize memorization and maximize understanding. It is more difficult to remember an item if they don’t fall into some framework. But there are also standard techniques in memorization. First one is to pick up the important details and form an acronym in each word. Added tip: teachers often get the questions from their question from their discussions in order for you to have base. 6. Don’t cram. *Some students make their mistake of cramming till they explode with tension. It’s far safer to study casually every day and still enjoys playing during exam week. Total effort is conserved. 7. Lastly, always wear a watch while taking the test. *One technique is to answer first the easy questions and skip the difficult ones. The remaining time is used for the left hand ones. The goal of efficient studying should be the availability of huge blocks of time in order to pursuit it. As the classic saying goes, ‘Don’t let your academics interfere with education”.
