By: Luzmharie Solis Everyone needs a friend who will be their best buddy and family. Everyone also needs someone who can be there through thick and thin and make them laugh until they cry. A friend whom they can call anytime, someone that can boost one’s confidence, or make the workplace a happier place. One person can have a large circle of friends while others prefer to have just a close few. Whether you have a huge barkada or it’s just you and your bestie, here are a few roles that your close pal might be playing in your life: 1. The crazy Friend- This type of friend is the one who pushes you out to your comfort zone. They usually challenge you but will not let you do things on your own. These are the people who usually encourage you to experience new things for you to become fearless. These are the people who are very outgoing and are happy to be with. 2. The honest friend - As a person, you need to have an honest friend who can provide tough love when needed. They will tell you all the things that you should know, and will not tell a white lie just for you to become comfortable. 3. The Long term friend - This type of friend has known your flaws and past mistakes. We really need to have a friend that know you better than yourself and loves you as a whole. You will know that the friendship will last as he/she has been consistently that someone you can rely on. 4. The Gossipy Friend- After a long day of work or school, you need someone who can listen and entertain your rants or problems. This friend reduces stress and help you to get through with anything. 5. The Loyal Friend - This is the friend you tell your secrets to, and despite of your negative side she/he will not judge you the way others do. This friend will always be at your side at any circumstance that you’ll face. 6. The Friend that you admire - This is the type of a friend that can be your source of inspiration and motivation in being the best version of yourself. You always look up to them and you intend to follow their footsteps, but of course this friend should also guide you to your journey in creating yourself. A person might not be able to differentiate their friend from another. But in life, when one person becomes more mature, they realize that it really doesn’t matter how many friends you have but rather the value of friendships you have.
