By: Nicole Arzadon Have you ever tried plotting a dark plan against someone who has hurt you? Have you ever felt so angry at someone that you want to make him or her suffer? Well, you’re not alone. A lot of people feel the same way. Many wants to seek revenge.
The saying “Revenge takes you down to the level of your offender” is true, but on the other hand, the best way to lighten up one’s feeling is through revenge. Revenge gives you a feeling of guilt and, at the same time, satisfaction. The will to revenge starts when someone has hurt you. You want your offender to feel the pain you’ve felt and sometimes, you want him or her to suffer more than you did. But what you don’t realize is that when you start revenge, no matter how sweet it is, you’re actually stepping down to the level of your enemy. As they say, “Revenge is like an acid. It burns other things yet it still burns its own container.” So if you continue holding tight onto your vengeance, you may end up destroying yourself. Revenge is not the answer to all your turmoil. Revenge is not sweet at all. Stay good even if others are rude to you. Let’s just leave it all up to God.
